From the time I built the smallest permissible
Sukkah at age 10, I knew I wanted to use my hands to fashion the Jewish items that others would be proud to own and serve Hashem with.
Fast forward 15 years, when I was learning in a rigorous Halacha Kollel. I learned Shechita, Shaatnez, and Shabbos among other halachos, but it was Safrus that made me dream.
I realized that while Jewish men use Stam every day to perform some of the central mitzvos in our lives, most of us are woefully ignorant about its Halachos. I dreamed of creating not only top-tier Stam, but also a forum for educating other Jews about its intricacies and inspiration.
The clock would tick through the night as I practiced creating those perfect letters, asking expert Sofrim for critique at every juncture.
I also joined a course of Magihim (proofreaders) led by HaRav Yehuda Menachem Gross, one of the leading Rabbonim specialising in Safrus today. Our close relationship has given me a window into true Safrus acumen.
And slowly, my dream began to take shape.
